About Vaccinate For All

 FAQs

  • The harmful health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have disproportionately affected Latino communities. Research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveals that as of November 22, 2021, Hispanics and Latinos are 1.6 times as likely to contract COVID-19 than their non-Hispanic white counterparts, as well as 2.5 times more likely to be hospitalized from COVID-19 and 2.1 times more likely to die from COVID-19.¹

Despite recommendations from trusted healthcare experts and robust research confirming the safety and effectiveness of vaccines, many communities of color face structural and cultural barriers that affect vaccination access, trust in medical institutions, and quality care.

Vaccinate For All works to overcome these challenges by arming individual health professionals, community leaders, and organizations with educational resources about vaccines in order to increase vaccination accessibility and uptake among the Latino community.

  • Major obstacles and risk factors of concern include:

    -Latino overrepresentation among essential workers

    -Lack of healthcare coverage

-Diminished trust in medical institutions due to misinformation

-Insufficient culturally-competent and linguistically accessible care

    -Concerns over immigration status

    -Socioeconomic struggles, amongst other factors
